I wonder if FYROM nationals had decided to call themselves ethnic Romans… would anyone have objected? Or how about if the Turks had decided to rename themselves ethnic Athenians? Would that be fine? How about if Syria renamed itself Greater Tel Aviv? Would that be kosher? How about if Mexicans renamed themselves “ethnic Texans” would Americans object?

The problem here is not that anyone actually believes that the former Yugoslav state has anything to do with ancient Macedonians. The problem is that people expect Greeks to be Gods because of the some of the successes of our ancestors. That expectation is not our fault.

I am suddenly now expected to forget my ethnic identify that can trace its roots across millineia for a 17 year old country that only shows hate towards me? Is this what “human rights” means in the world today? Tolerate the hateful?

1) Pella was not “Greek” till 1913. 2200yrs after Alexander was born.

2) Slavs (not just Russians etc) migrated to the Balkans all the way to the southern tip of modern day greece. So therefore you are also “slavs” to a degree.

1) Alexander the Great was born in Pella which is located in the province of Macedonia in northern GREECE.

2) Slavs ( ethnic bulgarian/russians) did not show up in the FRYOM region until 6 centurys after Alexander the great.

3) Chech out youtube for a video clip from Yugoslavian TV ( Video footage that shocked FYROM) which has TITOV admitting to the world that his country is slavic and that they do not have any relation to Alexander the Great!
