Car drivers unlucky enough to get pulled over by the police will be able to pay their fines using debit and credit cards. Kosovo’s traffic control will be equipped with card transaction processiong machines inside their vehicles provided by Raiffeisen Bank to ensure quick and more convenient payments.
This decision, which also includes the installment of such machines inside police stations, was announced on Monday by Interior Minister, Zenun Pajaziti, after signing a memorandum of agreement with the bank.
“According to new traffic laws, it is requested that citizens eventually pay their fines at the point of the incident. The agreement with Raiffeisen Bank will realise such a thing,” Pajaziti said.
Meanwhile, the executive director of Raiffeisen Bank, Bogdan Merfea, stated that, “it is an honour for Raiffeisen Bank to be part of the Republic of Kosovo’s institutional projects.”
