A public-private fund makes its presentation in Tirana

Tirana, 6 March 2007 (AENews) – An European Fund
for South-East Europe is presenting its plans in Tirana today. The fund
includes the German Development Bank KWf, Oppenheim Pramerica Funds Trust and
Bankakademie e.v as adviser.

(EFSE) is a private-public investment fund, promoted by KfW with funding from
the European Union as well as the Austrian, German and Swiss governments, IFC,
EBRD, FMO and KfW, with additional support from private investors. The Fund
Management is operated by a consortium of Oppenheim Pramerica and Bankakademie.
Citigroup is acting as a custodian and administration agent", according to
the official presentation published today.

The Fund offers long-term funding instruments
to qualified partner lending institutions to better serve the financing needs
of micro and small enterprises and private households in the target region. The
funding instruments include medium to long-term loans, subordinated loans,
equity and quasi-equity participations, term deposits, subscription to bond
issues, guarantee and investments in securitisation vehicles.
