Cosmocell loses GSM licence in Kosova

Cosmocell, which last week won the tender for the second mobile operator in
Kosova, has now lost its chance after reporting that it was not able to pay the
EUR 81 million fee for the mobile license as offered in the bid, Kosova
Telecommunication Authority announced.

The consortium, made up of "Dukagjini"
company, "Kujtesa" and an Italian partner, failed to accumulate the amount for
the license before the deadline on 21 February. Upon the news, the Authority
offered the license to Telecom Slovenia, which during the tender had offered EUR
75 million.
