Albania to lift customs duties with EU tomorrow

Tirana, 30 Nov. 2006 – Deputy Minister of Finance Florion Mima said yesterday that Albanian customs system was committed to implementing a free trade regime with the European Union countries entering into force as of tomorrow.

Three banks agree to finance major infrastructure project

Albania pays old debts to Italian companies

Parliament says OK to the anti-tobacco law

Tirana, (AEnews) Nov. 7 – The Albanian assembly approved yesterday of the Law on Protection of Health Against Tobacco, with 100 votes in favour, three against and seven abstentions. The Law, which will enter into force after six months, prohibits smoking in bar and restaurants and bans advertising.
