Albanian Government to sell its INSIG shares in an international auction

Tirana, (AEnews) Oct. 21 – The Albanian Government will sell 61% of its shares on INSIG at an auction. Sources from the Government said that, for this purpose, an open international tender would be organized, while a decision that supports this has been already issued.

According to the Prime Minister’s Advisor Selami Xhepa, the decision provides for only the selling of the Government’s shares, as the rest of them are owned by International Finance Corporation (IFC) with 19.5 per cent and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with 19.5 per cent. The winning companies will be selected by 31 December 2007.
