Two agreements, Kosovo to help Albania during times of energy crisis
Uncategorized Wednesday, October 18th, 2006Tirana, (AEnews) Oct. 18 – Kosovo will export energy supplies to Albania at times of crisis. Two agreements of understanding were signed yesterday between Albanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Genc Ruli and visiting UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Kosovo Joachim Rucker and Kosovo’s Minister of Energy and Mine Et’hem Ceku.
The first agreement provides for exchange of energy between Albania and Kosovo for different periods of time according to the needs of each of them. The second agreement provides for construction of a new Albania-Kosovo inter-connection line, which will increase the chances for energy exchange in the Balkans.
