Albania gets its own ZIP code
Uncategorized Tuesday, October 10th, 2006Tirana, (AEnews) Oct. 10 – Albania will finally have its own national four-digit postal code (ZIP) for the first time. The ZIP code will be different for different cities in the country and it is expected to bring many benefits to its citizens as well as improvements to the overall postal system.
The news has been welcomed by Prime Minister Berisha yesteday, commenting that this was an important step towards modernization of the postal service. According to him, introduction of new services by the Albanian Post Office would contribute to citizens' building more confidence in these services.
The Albanian postal system has been suffering for many years now from lack of a proper address system, which has been worsoned by the boom in informal and uncoordinated construction of roads, neighbourhoods and apartment buildings.

It has been 5 years that this news posted… But still we dont have ZIP code
Today we above 5 yeras from time when it has been annonced the news about Albania ZIP code system,….but i haven’t found any ZIP code at least for capital city.
Hope that ZIP code it will be soon an Albanian reality.
