KESH Int’l tender canceled, electricity to be purchased directly (Table)

Tirana, Jan. 4 (AENews) – The Albanian government canceled tender negotiation procedures to start negotiations for the purchase of electricity directly from six companies. The direct purchase of electricity will enable KESH to provide for country’s needs during the first quarter of 2006.

“The tender documentation was incomplete”, declared the office of the Prime Minister without giving further details as to the reasons why.

As a result of that decision, now the Albanian government has authorized the Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) to buy electricity directly from six of the participating companies.
