Slovenians getting ready to penetrate in Albania

Tirana, April 22 (AENews) – A group composed by some of the biggest Slovenian companies, organised and supported by the Foreign Slovenian Ministry, visited Tirana, capital city of Albania, in an attempt to look at the possibilities for direct investments in this Balkan country where Slovenian companies have little presence.

Biggest Slovenian bank, Nova Ljubljanska Banka in cooperation with Kasabanka (Kosovo-Slovenian bank) are looking into buying a bank in Albania or at the possibility of opening a new one.In addition, the largest Slovenian domestic appliance manufacturer, Gorenje, has reorganized its licensed operators trying to raise sells. Other well-known companies like Lesnina, Droga, Svea, Slovenian Philips, Henkel Slovenia and other companies are trying to intensify their business in the Albanian market.

Slovenians also interested to investing in tourism, infrastructure, mines, electricity and agro-business. They claimed that very soon they will open their own hypermarket in Tirana where Slovenian products will be marketed. If so, then this will be the second hypermarket in Albania.
